Marshall Hernandez

Marshall Hernandez of Caro, age 81, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at his home. He was born June 2, 1934 in Boerne, Texas, the son of the late George and Monica (Vasquez) Hernandez. Marshall was united in marriage with the former Lois TerBush on March 19, 1998 in Caro, and she survives him. He attended Bailey Technical School in St. Louis, Missouri. Marshall was employed with General Motors at Pontiac Truck and Bus as a mechanic for thirty years, retiring in 1996. He was an avid hobby farmer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Marshall is survived by his wife, Lois Hernandez of Caro; four children and their spouses, Daniel & Beth Hernandez of Tennessee, Tom & Vicky Hernandez of Caro, Pamela Brashier of Tennessee, Tony Hernandez of Oklahoma; four step-children; five grandchildren and their spouses, Crystal & Kevin Kennemer of Tennessee, Katie Hernandez of Tennessee, Jody & Aaron Barrigar of Cass City, Travis & Kayla Hernandez of Caro, Allen Brashier of Tennessee; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, Kole, Kade, Dylan, Bryce and Isla; one step-great-grandson; ten siblings; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter; and three siblings. In keeping with Marshall's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Christian F. Tabares officiating.
